Sangsters Restaraunt

Sangster’s Wine List

House Wines

The following selection of house wines has been chosen with consideration to ‘drinkability’ and a complement to our food.
The Picpoul, Sauvignon and ‘Mas Neuf’ are fine examples of what the Southern French can produce. Crisp, clean and fruity, the Picpoul is charming and wonderful with seafood, the Sauvignon is fresh and vibrant, delivering all the gooseberry and citrus flavours you would expect and the Mas Neuf is an exceptional blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah full of succulent, soft fruit with good underlying structure.

Our Chardonnay comes from one of Chile's oldest producers, Santa Rita, and shows clean, fresh tropical flavours, while the Los Cardos range is a more direct, fruit driven style offering typical varietal characters that are a contrast to the elegance of the Mediterranean French.

The Tramillon and the Shiraz are from Lillypilly Estate, Leeton New South Wales Australia the Tramillon is the epiphany of Australian wine making. Pale yellow in colour, lychee , typical elderflower nose, floral and spicy. A unique combination of Gewurztraminer,(75%) and Semillon (25%). This wine is very special and desirable for anyone wanting a wine with a slightly off dry note to it. The Shiraz is only available in very small parcels into the UK due to the popularity of the vintage. This wine is a wonderful example of slightly aged Shiraz with rich Autumnal berry fruit and a very soft and gentle mouth feel.
